convenient, but some of my dogs won't eat it.

So, I have always fed the absolute best food available for my dogs. I have a new puppy whose breeder raised the litter on this food, so I purchased a box. The puppy, always having eaten it, loves it. But only two of my five other dogs will touch it. The ingredients are first class, and it is so convenient to travel with it (I show dogs) so I was hoping that this would be an alternative to the frozen that I have to travel with that is basically the same mix. But three of my dogs would actually rather eat dry kibble than this stuff. I can't blame the product, it is very convenient, and appears to be wholesome, but just beware, the box will make months worth of food, and not all dogs think its tasty stuff.

Product looks great on paper but...

My miniature dachshund usually eats the preference from the honest kitchen. And I love this brand as a whole, they have truly amazing products and have helped eliminate my dogs seizures. I bought thrive to try and give my dog some variety. But he absolutely hated it. I could not get him to eat it hardly at all. It smelled absolutely terrible, it made me gag every time I fed him. It also gave him diarrhea and gas pretty badly. At first I thought the diarrhea was just because of the change of food, but after 2 weeks of eating this he was still having problems. So he did not finish this box and I will not be buying this variety again. But the ingredients and quality of this product are still great, just didn't work well with my little boy.

This might be an isolated problem

I've been using various Honest Kitchen products for 3 years. In the last few months, both my dogs have developed not quite a cough, but a vigorous throat clearing problem for several minutes at a time and pretty much daily. Several vet visits and diet changes later, and the common denominator seems to be the Honest Kitchen. No HK = no coughing problem. It's possible it was just the last box batch, or some other coincidental factor, but I have to discontinue use for now. It was so hard for me to pinpoint the problem, I hope this will help anyone with the same experience. I very much like their products, but......

I wanted to love it but my dog didn't

I was looking for something to feed my picky eater that was yummy but balanced. Even doubling the recommended amount of meat didn't encourage her to touch it.

Not his fave..

I bought this since this was the only dog food I could find online in stock right now - supply chain woes! My dog hates this food on its own. I’m able to add some of the oat and chicken clusters and the superfood toppers to get him to actually eat it. This is the first time I’ve had trouble getting my dog to eat THK dehydrated food. He loves the other flavors but not this one :(
