These are the famous Whisper filter cartridges that Tetra has resized to fit your Penguin filter. Each cartridge is filled with 1.0 ounces of activated carbon to remove dissolved contaminates, noxious odors, and discoloration. Unclip the top of the filter cartridge to add your own carbon or zeolite, or to remove the carbon when medicating. Two layers of thick, fluffy, and long lasting filter material to remove particulates from the tank water. Just like the Whisper cartridges, the manufacturer provides one reusable plastic frame with multiple floss sleeves and carbon, which can be replaced in seconds. This reduces the cost and helps to save resources.
