Aquarium Sponge Filters

These sponge filters are easy to use and maintain. They are made from a sponge foam that provides a tremendous amount of surface area for the colonization of beneficial bacteria to break down harmful waste materials in the tank.

Great for seeding new freshwater or saltwater tanks. Can be used in bare bottom tanks or buried under the gravel of decorated tanks. Excellent for use in brine shrimp and baby fish tanks. Easy to clean and will last years under normal use.

No filter floss or carbon needed. Weighted base helps keep the filter on the tank bottom. Can be used to supplement power filters. Includes an airstone to reduce aeration noise and increase rate of oxygen diffusion.
