A pure calcium product developed specifically for hermit crabs. Will help control bacteria build up and will clump with excess moisture for easy removal. Your crabs will have a tendency to eat it because its pure calcium content, which will help develop their exoskeleton.
To use this sand, cover the bottom of your tank so that it is at least as deep as the height of your hermit crab. This provides the opportunity for your crabs to do their necessary molting. The general rule of thumb is 1 to 1-1/2 pounds of sand for every gallon of tank capacity. One pound of sand per bag. Additional colors available upon request.
