We at Petdiscounters.com want your online experience to be enjoyable, simple and successful. To that end, we have created an ordering, shipping, and payment process to make your life easy.
Unlike many of our competitors, we are not looking to profit from the cost of shipping and handling. Overall, we try our best to break even on shipping costs for the year, but we are increasingly finding that difficult to do so. We always try to ship via the least expensive method. The United States Post Office is best for lightweight packages, while Fed Ex Service is ideal for heavier items.
Unfortunately shipping costs have increased dramatically in the past few years due to skyrocketing fuel costs. We are doing everything possible to keep our shipping rates reasonable.
Our goal is to keep shipping costs down to a minimum. We will ship any dollar amount. We do, however, recommend ordering $25.00 worth of shippable merchandise or more to offset the costs of shipping.
All orders shipped will have a tracking number issued which will be sent via email.
By default, we ship using the No Signature Required option which authorizes the carrier to leave your package at the shipping address provided. Be aware that neither Petdiscounters.com nor the carrier is responsible for any packages after they are delivered. Please use the tracking information that we send to you for delivery confirmation. If you don't want your order shipped in this way, please let us know before you place your order.
Sorry but we cannot ship to a PO BOX address.
Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
Items shipped to these states can take extra time. We urge buyers and sellers to be patient in these instances.
Flat rate shipping does not apply to orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. We will contact you if additional postage is required.
Our shopping cart will automatically add in a $15.00 US minimum shipping fee for all international orders. This is not the actual overseas shipping charge, just our minimum fee. If the cost is higher, our warehouse will contact you with the estimated shipping cost for your approval prior to sending the package.
Flat rate shipping does not apply to international orders.
For all international shipments, Petdiscounters.com will not be held responsible or liable for any problems that result at your local customs office. If customs duties are assessed, these are in addition to your shipping charges and must be paid directly by you. No refunds will be given for items that are seized at your local customs office. We will not be held liable for any customs duties or taxes that arise from your local customs office. Petdiscounters.com will also not be held responsible for any additional fees the local carrier in your country may charge. If you do not pay the customs fees imposed by your country and the package is lost or returned to us you will be responsible for any extra fees incurred by us including the original shipping costs. Please do not order if you are unsure of the customs fees or procedures.
Petdiscounters.com reserves the right to change the shipping method at its own discretion and expense. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather or customs. Estimated delivery time for items we have in stock is from the date of shipment, provided no problems occur with your local customs office. Some countries may require various types of import licenses. Petdiscounters.com will not knowingly ship any products to any countries that may require any type of license. We cannot ship food internationally.
Our international shipping prices reflect the base shipping charge not including customs duties, taxes and country specific fees. Our fees ONLY reflect the cost for us to ship your order to your country. If you are unsure of your country's import policies, please check with them before ordering. There may be other shipping charges to you on our end and we will notify you if this is the case before your items are shipped. We cannot return overseas calls so please correspond by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Most items are in stock, therefore, your order will be processed shortly after it is received. The majority of orders are shipped within twenty-four to forty-eight hours, Monday through Friday, after receipt. Unfortunately, certain items may be out of stock for a variety of possible reasons. Since we deal with a large number of suppliers, we are confident that nearly all items can be shipped within 14 days from the time that your order is placed. If we believe that an order will be delayed for a longer period of time, we will contact you. Do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com to confirm the status of your order.
Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or on a national holiday will be shipped on the next business day.

US Shipping Rates
US Shipping rates are based on the weight of the package - we price each order at $4.48 per order + $1.49 per lb. Shipments that exceed the maximum size rules for USPS will be subject to extra fees.
