NitraStrate is a revolutionary substrate that has been created to ensure a crystal clear tank with minimal water changes. Can be used in addition to or in place of existing substrates. Anaerobic colonization occurs inside each NitraStrate particle and remains even when the substrate is allowed to dry. NitraStrate are not ordinary stone pebbles or plastic beads. It is a totally porous special polymer bead that allows nitrate laden water to slowly saturate the NitraStrate particles. The anaerobic bacteria within the bead consume the nitrates to create compounds which, when they emerge, oxidize and release harmless Nitrogen gas. NitraStrate is neutrally buoyant, allowing it to stay in constant motion, so debris cannot settle and toxic bacteria cannot thrive. What is commonly the worst part of your tank is now the best part. What does this mean for you? Less frequent water changes so you can enjoy your tank more. The first truly new filter material. Improves with age and lasts forever. Forms a stable, oxygenated environment between the NitraStrate particles. Collects and naturally processes all the debris of a fish tank. NitraStrate is the ideal anaerobic de-nitrifying environment. NitraStrate remains clean and never needs replacement. Use for fish, turtles, and all aquatic species. Patents covering its many special features have been engineered into it over 7 years of research and development. Effective for fresh or saltwater. Stabilizes even tiny systems. A two gallon marine fish setup is now possible and easy. Because it is neutrally buoyant, fish love to swim through it and hunt for food. Each NitraStrate measures between 7 and 10 mm in diameter. (Approximately 1/4".) Fill your tank with any color or by combining multiple colors.
